fiji iced tea with cream and coconut

Creaming and still slightly tropical recipe for iced tea

This is a bit of an unusual recipe and you may have to search a bit to get coconut syrup. It is well worth the effort though you could use a few tablespoons of coconut milk instead if you needed to substitute.

  • 1 cup black tea, cooled
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 oz coconut syrup
  • 1 oz heavy cream

Pour everything into a cocktail shaker and shake until mixed and frothy. Pour and serve immediately. Makes just one cup.

You can taste so many different flavors in this egg nog recipe

Plenty of liqueur in this recipe to keep everyone festive. With all that cream, it’s extremely decadent!

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Grand Marnier
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1 1/2 quarts milk
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • Nutmeg

With a mixer, beat the egg yolks until they are pale and thick. Add in the sugar and various alcohols. Once combined, let it chill until cold. Then stir in milk and set aside. Whip cream until it is thick, and also beat the remaining egg whites until they are also nice and thick.

Fold both the whipped cream and egg whites until the cold milk mixture and let the whole thing chill until you are ready to serve. Dust the top of each glass with nutmeg when you do.

thick egg nog recipe with rum and brandy

Whipped egg whites add extra thickness to this eggnog recipe

Ok, I admit that I have no clue why they call this Baltimore eggnog. They just do. It’s a recipe intended for a group, so bring this out at your next gathering.

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 pint brandy
  • 1/4 pint light rum
  • 1/4 pint peach brandy
  • 1 1/2 pints milk
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream

Beat sugar and egg yolks together until you have a thick mixture. Mix in the brandy, rum, milk and cream, then keep in the refrigerator until chilled through. While that chills, beat the egg whites until they are stiff, then fold into the cold nog mix right before you serve.

basic hot chocolate recipe

Simple and still very good. This is a hot chocolate for anyone.

Hot chocolate that’s good enough for the White House, with both milk and light cream. No fuss with melted chocolate, since it’s made with cocoa powder. Give it a whisk for a foamy touch.

  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 1/2 cups light cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Cinnamon, whipped cream and orange zest
